Poland at World Cup 2022

  • MANAGER: Adam Nawalka
  • CAPTAIN: Robert Lewandowski
  • FIFA RANKING: 7
  • APPEARANCES: 7
  • WORLD CUP WINS: 0

Poland are back in the World Cup following a 12 year absence, with a run that saw Nawalka’s men top their qualifying group in Europe.

They come to Qatar as one of the top ranked FIFA teams, having won 8 out of their 10 qualifying games, and having made it to the quarter-finals in Euro 2016 where they went out on penalties to overall winners Portugal.

Adam Nawalka has had great success since he took over in 2013, leading the Polish squad to their 1st UEFA European Championship quarter-finals as well as the 2022 World Cup.

They have been drawn in World Cup Group H against Senegal, Colombia and Japan, and are considered one of the strongest teams and most likely to progess to the next stage.

With players such as Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, who was the top scorer in the qualifying rounds, Nawalka’s men will be a tough team to beat.

Poland should have no worries making it through the opening rounds of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and it will be exciting to see how far they can go this time!
