Tunisia at World Cup 2022

  • MANAGER: Nabil Maaloul
  • CAPTAIN: Aymen Mathlouthi
  • FIFA RANKING: 27
  • APPEARANCES: 4
  • WORLD CUP WINS: 0

Tunisia return to World Cup action after what has been a 12-year absence, in what will be their 5th overall appearance in the competition in their history.

Although it was a tough road, Tunisia caught a break with one of the easiest African groups, meaning they have had a major confidence boost coming through the qualifiers undefeated.

It will be a very different situation for Maaloul’s squad in Qatar, as they have been drawn in World Cup Group G against England, Belgium and Panama.

This is a tough group with 2 of the European powerhouses fighting for top spot, and with Tunisia having never made it past the group stages, they will more than likely struggle to progress.

Sportsbooks offer low odds on success, but there’s always one team that throws a spanner in the works, and so we can’t rule them out until we see how they perform in their opening game.
