England at World Cup 2022

  • MANAGER: Gareth Southgate
  • CAPTAIN: Jordan Henderson
  • FIFA RANKING: 15
  • APPEARANCES: 14
  • WORLD CUP WINS: 1

England had an unbeaten run in qualifying for Qatar 2022, defeating Slovenia in their penultimate Group match to make it through to their 6th consecutive FIFA World Cup.

Most online sportsbooks offer England as one of the top teams in the competition, and we expect them to at least progress past the Group stages.

Gareth Southgate’s men have been drawn in World Cup Group G and will compete against Tunisia, Panama and Belgium to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.

The real competition will be between the big European teams. England should easily make it through, but whether they can top the group over Belgium remains to be seen.

England have some great players, and with the likes of Kane, Dele Alli and Rashford perhaps we can finally expect great things from an England team in a major tournament.
